Welcome to the Hadrian's Hobbies Website.

We are a new model and hobby business based at 1 Market Place, Brampton CA8 1NW.

The town of Brampton is situated nine miles east of Carlisle and is a place of some antiquity, a market having being held there for over 700 years. The area around the town is rich in Roman remains, due to its proximity to Hadrian's Wall.

Its close proximity to Scotland brought to it severe fighting and occupation during the wars between Robert the Bruce and King Edward II.

The area also has strong claims to the Arthurian legends. However its most recent significant contribution to the history books is during the time of George & Robert Stephenson and the beginnng of the railway age.

How many of you know Stephenson's Rocket worked on the Brampton Railway following the Rainhill Trails and was ultimately presented to the Patent Museum, South Kensington by Thompson & Sons in 1862.
